The mother of two beautiful daughters, Lavette has been a nail technician since 2007, and an esthetician since 2012. Lavette enjoys traveling across the U.S. to master her craft, network, and stay on top of the latest and newest beauty trends. With a passion for nails and skin care, she hopes to open a few Beautè Asylum salon chains. In 2015, Lavette was named winner of Season 2 Nails Next Top Nail Artist, and has since gone on to do editorial work for Nails, Beauty Link, and Essence magazines. A guest artist of New York Fashion Week, Lavette designed nails for The Blonds and Libertine. She also shared the stage as the 1st NextGen Nail Artist of Beauty Changes Lives. While visiting Los Angeles, Lavette serviced her first celebrity client, Abby Lee Miller, of the hit reality show, Dance Moms.
